The department deals with processing of biopsy tissues received from various departments within the campus, dental clinics and hospitals located in and around Sriganganagar. The tissue samples undergo various steps like fixation, tissue processing, embedding, section cutting, staining and microscopy. We prepare the histological sections that are analyzed microscopically so as to reach to a definitive diagnosis.

We are equipped with Yorco fully-automatic microtome to make routine histopathological tissue sections from paraffin-embedded blocks.

Sample, can be used to detect Premalignancy and various other lesions. It involves sample collection, smear preparation, fixation or air drying followed by staining.

Obtaining material from body cavity, cystic space or fluid containing lesion. Material is smeared on a slide, fixed and stained.

This includes Toluidine blue staining for detection of precancerous lesions

We perform Hemoglobin estimation, bleeding time, clotting time, total and differential leukocyte count, Blood group and Rhesus factor determination, ESR, Urine analysis, HIV, HCV & HbSAg determination, VDRL, WIDAL test and RA test.

A high performance microcontroller based biochemistry analyzers– TRANSASIA ERBA CHEM-5 PLUS and SPAN AUTOCHEM NEXTGEN are used for routine chemistries, electrolytes, hormones and drug tests.
A fully automated HITACHI 902 AUTOMATIC ANALYZER is also available to perform a number of tests quickly, accurately and with least chances of manual error.
Tests include Random and Fasting Blood glucose levels, Lipid profile, Renal Function Tests, Liver Function Tests, Serum Calcium, Serum Phosphorus and Serum Amylase.
ROCHE 9180 ELECTROLYTE ANALYZER is used for accurate estimation of Electrolytes.

MEDONIC M20 HEMATOLOGY ANALYZER is available to perform Total Leukocyte count, Differential count, Platelet count, Erythrocyte count, Hemoglobin estimation, MCV and MCHC, MCV, HCT, RDWa, RDW%, MPV, LPCR, PDW and PCT.

We perform Gram’s staining, Ziehl-Nielson Staining, KOH Preparation, Urine culture, Pus culture, Blood culture, Antibiotic sensitivity tests for patient samples within a BIOKLENZ Laminar flow apparatus.
