Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a demanding branch requiring the resident to deal with immence physical and mental challenges. At the end of the day, however, there is immence job satisfation. Those who choose Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for specialization choose a brach very different from any other branch of dentistry.

The life of an Oral and Maxillofacial Resident typically revolves around the Out Patient, In Patient areas, Major OT & minor OT. Regular routine involves working in the OPD, OTs in the mornings and afternoons followed by time in resident duty room and wards. OMFS Residents, when not on duty are on-call to handle any Max-Fac emergency. Attending conferences, workshops, seminars serves not only to enlighten the residents but also is a break for them for having fun and socializing with the fraternity.
