Currently pursuing her dentistry from Surendra Dental College and Research Institute, Maanvi is someone to take notes from! After becoming Miss Fresher’s in her first year of college, her interest in the fashion industry rose exponentially. Moving into her second year, she auditioned for a renowned magazine called P&I Magazine, which is based on the theme of pageantry and its inclusive concepts. Unbelievably, she was selected as an article writer initially and wrote a couple of articles for the 3rd edition.
Watching her dedication and unstoppable creativity, the organization decided to promote her to her dream position, which is the ‘Features Editor’ of the magazine. Under her surveillance, the organization was able to pull out two more successful editions featuring national and international personalities from the pageant industry.
Alongside balancing her medical studies and managing time for her writing skills, Maanvi became a certified writer and continued her passion by writing for the ‘Pune Times’ newspaper, the ‘pageantandinnovation.com’ website, and the ‘Crown In Style’ blog. Recently, she has also been selected as the college representative in IADS (International Association of Dental Students) Indian branch and is an active executive member of the state council. She is also on the post of chairman in the magazine committee of AIDSA (All India Dental Student Association).
We feel proud and delighted to have such hardworking and innovative students in our college who are able to forge ahead in whatever fields they choose. Maanvi says, “I never expected to have gotten such huge opportunities until I thought to move out of my comfort zone and try something new. It’s always difficult in the start, but when you start getting the recognition and soul satisfaction for the work you do, you can never think of giving up. Ultimately, the urge to not settle for anything less keeps you going.”
We wish Maanvi all the best for her future endeavors.
