Undergraduate Course

The undergraduate students start their learning of the basic principles of orthodontics from the 3rd year of BDS course, through various lectures. Demonstrations on basic wire bending techniques are given to train them in appliance fabrication.

Clinical training comprises of learning the art of history taking and diagnosis making. Demonstrations are given to train them in impression making and construction of study models. Various exercises on cephalometric analysis and model analysis are carried out to help them understand the basic orthodontic diagnosis better.

The complete scope of orthodontics is taught during the under graduation course along with clinical training in fabrication of various removable appliances, Myofunctional appliances, basics of fixed appliances, model analysis, cephalometric analysis and detailed diagnosis and treatment planning of different malocclusion of patients.
