ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL PATHOLOGY AND ORAL MICROBIOLOGY

Oral Pathology is a bridge that connects basic medical sciences with clinical aspects of dentistry. Clinical application and management are largely based on Dental anatomy and histology. The Department of Oral Pathology is situated on the third floor of the dental college housing state-of- the-art equipment in the field of academics and initiating research.
The undergraduate program was established in the year 2002 and the Postgraduate course started from the year 2012. The practice of oral pathology involves the diagnosis of ailments using clinical, radiographic, microscopic, biochemical or other investigations. The service averages 900 new cases each year and in the majority of cases, reports are issued within 4 days following the receipt of the specimen. Medical and dental professionals have confidence in the precision of our consultations.

PG Program

At the postgraduate level, the MDS program is offered to make the candidate proficient in routine cytological and histopathological procedures.

We deal with first-year and third-year undergraduate students and teach them the basics of developmental and histological aspects of the tooth, oral and para-oral structures.

Interns & CDE
