Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course is a 4 year degree course and 1 year Internship which is run under the aegis of Dental Council of India which was constituted on 12th April 1949 under an Act of Parliament – the Dentists Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948). The Dental Council of India runs under the aegis of Department of Health, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.

After passing 4th Year University examination, one year rotatory internship is mandatory for all the BDS students.

Examination Scheme


The internal assessment examinations are held three times in a particular academic year.


The scheme of examination for BDS course is divided into first BDS examination at the end of the first academic year, Second BDS examination at the end of second year, third BDS examination at the end of third year and final BDS examination at the end of fourth year.

Eligibility Criteria

A student seeking admission to BDS course must have passed the qualifying examination (of a recognized board / university) i.e. 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with at least 50% marks in PCB (40% in case of S.C. / S.T.) with English as compulsory subject and must attain the age of 17 years on 31st of December, of the year of admission.
Admission will be made strictly on the basis of Rank / Merit obtained in NEET 2018.


The college has 100 seats in BDS, filled up through the eligible NEET candidate.
